Saptarsi Goswami is a highly experienced Digital Transformation Lead with over 10 years of experience in the field of IT and innovation. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Bangabasi Morning College, where he is responsible for educating and mentoring students in the field of computer science. In addition to his teaching role, Saptarsi also holds the position of Digital Transformation Lead at the IT & Innovation Cell of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of WB, where he is responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives. Prior to his current roles, Saptarsi served as an Executive Committee Member at the Society for Data Science, where he worked on various data science projects. He also worked at the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of WB as a Digital Transformation Lead, IT & Innovation Cell, where he was responsible for implementing digital transformation initiatives across the department. Saptarsi has an impressive educational background, having completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Machine Learning from Calcutta University, Kolkata. He also holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science from the University of Calcutta and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication from MNIT. He has also completed several courses on Coursera, including a second PhD in Machine Learning (Feature Selection) from the University of Calcutta. Saptarsi's technical expertise lies in the field of data science, and he is a skilled data scientist. He has experience working with various tools and technologies, including Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Hadoop. He is also proficient in machine learning algorithms and has experience in feature selection.
